Vilnius, Lithuania – Altechna Co. Ltd. has won the Innovative Product 2010 award for Sollas, a multifunctional laser system for PV solar cell processing.

The Innovation Award issued by the Lithuanian Innovation Centre is an annual contest aimed at fostering entrepreneurial thinking and technological development by making it possible for enterprises to self assess their competitiveness and innovativeness.

The Sollas multi-tasking laser workstation is an industrial research laser machine for c-Si solar cells.

Equipped with cutting edge dual-femtosecond UV laser and nanosecond IR laser, the system is designed for industrial research or capacity pilot manufacturing lines at 3 MW. The main advantages of this femtosecond laser are precision in ablation processes due to selective absorption and minimal heat affected zone.
