ROFIN subsidiary LASAG AG appoints new managing director

Starnberg/Thun, Switzerland – Rofin-Baasel Lasertech GmbH & Co. KG has appointed a new managing director of the Swiss Rofin subsidiary Lasag AG, Mr. Andreas Ewald, who took over his position on July 1.

Starnberg/Thun, Switzerland – Rofin-Baasel Lasertech GmbH & Co. KG has appointed a new managing director of the Swiss Rofin subsidiary Lasag AG, Mr. Andreas Ewald, who took over his position on July 1.

Andreas Ewald has taken on responsibility in various positions on an international basis in the laser industry, is an electrical engineer (HTL), and holds an MBA in industrial engineering.

"With Mr. Ewald, we are getting new competence on board for our Swiss daughter company, and we are very much positive about the future tasks for our mutual success,” said Thomas Merk, COO of Rofin Micro and Marking.

"My primary objective is to conclude the integration of Lasag AG into the Rofin group successfully," said Ewald. "The affiliation has unleashed significant new potential, e.g., an extensive global sales network, as well as the wide range of excellent Rofin technologies. These synergies allow us to work out new benefits for our customers."
