East Hartford, Conn. – Cencorp, a public company with its headquarters in Mikkeli, Finland, specializes in end-of-line automation solutions and focuses on depaneling, odd-form assembly, test handling, and laser applications.

Dr. Henrikki Panstar, Cencorp Director of R&D, works with laser processing, including high-speed drilling of thin metals (0.2 to 0.3 mm stainless or nickel), metal welding, and plastic welding. At SALA (April 13 to 14), Dr. Panstar will describe applications developed at Cencorp and Fraunhofer-Michigan in high rate laser drilling.

Cencorp laser workstations are designed to meet the specific needs of each customer. The company manufacture standard and custom-built laser marking, laser cutting, laser welding, laser drilling, and laser micromachining workstations for stand-alone and in-line production. In Cencorp's laser systems integration, it uses the latest in technology and design tools to provide state-of-the-art laser solutions. The company's customers are major manufacturers in automotive electronics, telecommunications, industrial electronics and EMS.

This is another example of the end-user applications that will be presented at SALA. Those interested in first hand experiences using industrial lasers will find the two day program at the Hartford Hilton Hotel especially beneficial as they will have the opportunity to network with the presenters and the exhibitors showing the latest in laser technology.
