East Hartford, Conn. – It's now time to send in nominations for the 2011 CCAT Award for Laser Applications in Manufacturing Operations. This award, consisting of a suitably engraved plaque and an honorarium, is to be presented at the evening reception of this year's SALA event to be held at the Hartford Hilton Hotel on April 13 and 14, 2011.

This award, consisting of a suitably engraved plaque and an honorarium, is to be presented at the evening reception of this year's SALA event to be held at the Hartford Hilton Hotel on April 13 and 14, 2011.

The nominee should be an outstanding advocate for lasers used in manufacturing operations. He or she should exemplify the qualities found in the career of the first recipient of this award, Connie Banas, a tireless researcher and process developer who was responsible for a series of high power CO2 laser applications installed in the industry. This nominated individual will have a record of success in the advancement of industrial laser applications.

Submission of a nominee requires agreement to sponsor him or her if they are selected and to assist in their appearance at the ceremony.

Submit the name and background of nominees, along with your contact information to the Award Committee ([email protected]) by March 27.
