Tokyo, Japan - Fujifilm has announced a partnership with Hell Gravure Systems to sell its B1 format direct laser engraving (DLE) platesetter, the PremiumSetter S1300, in Europe as part of the company's strategy to grow its label and packaging business. The partnership will see Fujifilm sell the machine together with its FLENEX DLE plate to create a high-quality, simple, and efficient flexo-plate production system. Fujifilm showcased the system for the first time in Europe at Labelexpo in September.
The Hell PremiumSetter S1300 is a good match for the FLENEX DLE plate as it has a reputation for high quality and reliability, and fits with Fujifilm's strategy of introducing high quality, sustainable plate production solutions across its portfolio.
Yasufumi Morimoto, senior VP of the Graphic Systems division, commented: "We are delighted to partner with Hell Gravure Systems and look forward to working with them to introduce DLE flexo plate production to more printers around Europe. As part of a general strategy to develop our label and packaging business, we are committed to offering solutions to flexo printers to help them make their operations more efficient and sustainable, and we believe the Hell PremiumSetter S1300 together with the FLENEX plate, will be a compelling solution."
