Custom laser marking capability at MD&M West

Jan. 17, 2013
A-Laser will discuss two new systems to produce ID marks on flat or 3-D parts.

Milpitas, CA - A-Laser will present its new laser marking capability in Booth #579 at the upcoming Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West Exposition, scheduled to take place February 12-14, 2013, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

The company has purchased two new systems to support the needs of customers and to provide entry into new markets. These are set up to produce serial numbers, logos, part numbers, barcodes, and other custom identification marks in flat or 3-dimensional parts. The company is able to provide high quality, permanent marks in a variety of substrates, while achieving the quick turns required of laser cutting services.

The company provides tight tolerance laser cutting solutions for a wide range of industries, fulfilling both prototype and production needs. UV Laser cutting provides virtually carbon-free laser cuts, 20 micron laser drilling, and 2 mil slot laser routing. This service is suitable for many thin metal foils, thermoplastic and thermoset materials and material/adhesive combos. A-Laser provides position accuracy (±0005"), fine contours and virtually radius-free internal edges (<20 micron beam), and contact-free material processing to prevent material distortion.
