Elgin, IL - Mazak Optonics Corp. has released FX Tube, a new PC based software system for tube and pipe processing, for use on the Mazak FABRI GEAR machine.
FX Tube can create complex pipe shapes via imported solid models, 2D CAD data, or internal drafting features. The easy-to-use input system defines geometric features and can add hole and cut shape patterns to reduce drawing time. The system also features high-speed nesting functions to cut multiple parts on multiple pipe materials, allowing for maximum productivity.
The software is also designed to maximize error reduction, due to its advanced preview function. The preview function automatically optimizes processing by matching to the material shape. It also offers a fully interactive, 3D simulation mode to check for torch, chuck, and workpiece interference.
FX Tube supports DXF, IGES, DWG, 3D-IGES and STEP data with additional options, including the IFC/TEKLA CAD systems popular in the construction market.
