A line of OEM-compatible, field-replacement CO2 laser lenses provide deep stock removal for popular wood cutting and engraving lasers.

Laser Research Optics (Providence, RI) has introduced a full line of OEM-compatible, field-replacement CO2 laser lenses that provide deep stock removal for popular wood cutting and engraving lasers. The lenses are optimized for 10.6µm wood cutting and engraving laser systems where depth of field is critical. Featuring 4in. focal lengths to provide stock removal from .5 to 1.5in., depending upon the laser wattage and wood species, these CO2 lenses have use in manufacturing awards, plaques, specialty boxes, and related items. Specifications include 40-20 scratch-dig surface quality, <1/40th wave sphericity, and <0.2% total absorption values.
