Fiber laser cutting machine for larger sheet

May 30, 2016
Bystronic has introduced its BySprint Fiber 6520 fiber laser cutting machine, which can process metal sheet measuring up to 6.5 × 2m.

Bystronic (Coventry, West Midlands, England) has introduced its BySprint Fiber 6520 fiber laser cutting machine, which can process metal sheet measuring up to 6.5 × 2m. Using larger sheet maximizes material usage, as more parts can be nested with greater efficiency—so there is less material wastage. The company's BySoft 7 process software supports users with intelligent nesting procedures. The machine produces more parts per cutting cycle before the next sheet is loaded, and larger single components may be cut without having to interrupt the machine in-cycle to reposition the sheet. The machine can be equipped with a 3, 4, or 6kW fiber laser source, and maximum simultaneous positioning of the axes is 140m/min.
