II-VI HIGHYAG introduces consulting services for industrial laser applications

The II-VI HIGHYAG division (Kleinmachnow, Germany) of II-VI Incorporated (NASDAQ:IIVI; Saxonburg, PA), a provider of laser material processing tools, now offers application-specific consulting services in its own application laboratories. Areas of expertise include laser welding, soldering, brazing, and laser cutting. The application laboratories are equipped with the company's laser processing heads, direct diode and fiber lasers up to 8kW, and various drive systems in the form of industrial robots and gantry systems.

Customers can review firsthand the feasibility of applications, fabricate samples, and evaluate process windows, allowing processes to be optimized and transferred to serial production. The application laboratories are also used for validating process optimization technologies developed by industry partners.
