Thanks to the installation of a new 6kW laser cutting system and other equipment, sheet metal manufacturer Malton Laser (Malton, North Yorkshire, England) has increased production threefold. The company, which provides full metalworking services that include laser cutting, pressing, fabricating, powder coating, and assembly, has enhanced its laser cutting offering with a Bystronic ByStar 3015 6kW machine. Its full-service offering has led the company to service clients across the UK in industries that include food and drink; automotive and transport; architectural and construction; retail; and energy and engineering.

The Bystronic ByStar 3015 6kW machine.

Three times faster than standard CO2 laser cutting systems, the new laser cutter enables the company to complete projects more efficiently than before, without compromising on the quality of the finished product. As well as reducing energy costs, the size and power of the machine means that it can process a higher number of jobs more quickly, resulting in increased capacity and faster turnaround times for their customers.

The new machine installation is one of many steps that Malton Laser is taking in terms of investment over the next year to continue its growth.
