Laser welding supplier Meyer Tool expands manufacturing center in South Carolina

    Gas turbine technologies supplier Meyer Tool (MTI; headquartered in Cincinnati, OH), whose offerings include laser welding, is expanding its operations center in Greenville, SC. The expansion, which includes adding on to its existing facility with 44,000 sq. ft. of space, is expected to bring $6 million in investment and 57 new jobs.

    MTI supplies a range of precision components to the aerospace and gas turbine engine industries, also specializing in electrical discharge machining (EDM), laser machining, water jet machining, abrasive grinding, coating, and other processes required to provide a single-source solution for airfoils and other hot-section turbine components. The company holds AS9100 and NADCAP certifications for all special processes.
