In July 2016, Blackbird Robotics hosted a grand opening event where attendees could visit and examine the new remote welding applications laboratory. They were given an overview of the latest unique technology advances in the company's product range of 2D and 3D scan heads, controls, and seam finding and tracking solutions. There also an exhibition of sample parts from production applications, covering a variety of industrial segments such as battery welding, automotive seating, exhaust systems, and door assemblies.

"Now that we have the infrastructure in place, we can also provide local training and application support," says Tim Morris, VP of sales and service for Blackbird Robotics. "The next step will be providing selected repair and maintenance measures."
