• JR Automation Technologies invests $3.4M, creates 56 jobs in new expansion

    Custom automation solutions company JR Automation Technologies (Holland, MI), whose processes include welding, is expanding operations at its Pickens, SC facility. The expansion will result in the creation of 56 new jobs and a capital investment of $3.4 million.

    Established in 1980, the company provides custom automated equipment and services to customers in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, medical device, pharmaceutical, food processing, and construction, among others. With more than 850 employees across eight locations, the company offers automation solutions that integrate technologies and processes ranging from welding to laser applications to metal and plastics processing.

    To accommodate this expansion, the company will be moving into a 50,000-sq-ft. purpose-built facility in Pickens County Commerce Park. Hiring for the new positions is expected to begin immediately.
