• Additive manufacturing specialist Concept Laser achieves strong growth

    Additive manufacturing specialist Concept Laser has reported 54% growth when compared to 2014.

    Additive manufacturing specialist Concept Laser (Lichtenfels, Germany), which produces laser melting machinery, once again significantly increased sales of its laser melting machines, as well as the number of manufactured machines and its employees, by 54% compared to the previous year. Orders for machines in 2015 were 161 units compared to 110 machines in 2014, which equates to a growth in volume of 46% and surpasses the annual plan predicted by the company's management.

    By the end of 2015, more than 550 laser melting machines had been installed by the company around the world. Growth was also reflected in the number of employees, which rose to 172 in 2015. At the same time, positive development in the US market enabled Concept Laser Inc. (Grapevine, TX) to increase its workforce to 17 employees.
