Fronius USA invests $1.5M in manufacturing facility

Fronius USA has invested over $1.5 million in a full manufacturing and testing facility, including laser welding technology.

Portage, IN - Fronius USA has invested over $1.5 million in the development and integration of a full manufacturing and testing facility, including laser welding technology and solar inverters, in their 400,000-sq-ft. headquarters. The company has also hired over 30 people to staff the production.

The manufacturing line produces and tests over 200 Fronius Primo solar inverters, part of the company's SnapINverter line for the solar industry, per day. Available power classes for the inverters reach from 3.8 to 8.2kW to serve typical residential solar installations.

The new production line is the first step towards more US manufacturing to come. The company plans to manufacture further products in its Portage facility to better serve the high demand in the US.
