STPL receives prestigious award from Japan for diamond cutting system

Surat, India - Sahajanand Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (STPL) has received the prestigious Good Design Award from Japan for 2015, winning for its innovative Magnus Digital diamond measurement and planning system.

The Good Design Award is a comprehensive design-promotion system in Japan since 1957. It picks good design out of a variety of unfolding phenomena, and aims to enrich our lives, industries, and society as a whole by highlighting and celebrating these works. It is hosted by the Japan Institute for Design Promotion, a public interest incorporated foundation. Submissions for this globally recognized award come from a wide range of fields. The winners of this award are entitled to use "G mark," the symbol of the award, which has been recognized widely as a mark of representing good design.

STPL received the award in the Equipment and Facilities for Production and Manufacturing category. The evaluation committee noted that STPL has succeeded in making compact equipment for measuring and cutting rough diamond and pairing it with user-friendly software. The evaluation committee further noted that "As such, it should be commended for achieving an intuitive operation. Since the programming can be customized to each customer, we felt that it could expect to attract a great many customers."

In the beginning of 2015, the company received the Indian Design Mark 'i Mark' Award and Vision System Design Award for the system.
