Monrovia, CA - Amada Miyachi America's LF Series fiber lasers, which have use in precision microwelding, can be focused to spot sizes down to 10µm. The lasers are available in either single-mode or multimode options for applications such as welding of flexure arms on hard disc drives, medical spring attachment, and medical component assembly.

Features include an internal air-to-water cooling mechanism, operation in either modulated or continuous-wave (CW) mode, pulse shaping with up to 10 segments, and a seam mode with ramp-up and ramp-down capabilities. The control interface can be integrated into the laser or provided separately.
