Laser manufacturing equipment and systems maker Amada Miyachi America hosted a College Day at its headquarters in Monrovia.

Monrovia, CA - Welding, marking, cutting, and micromachining equipment and systems maker Amada Miyachi America hosted a College Day on September 10, 2015, at its US corporate headquarters in Monrovia. The event was part of the company's partnership with local colleges and universities to support engineering education, featuring a “meet and greet,” company tour, catered lunch with Q&A session, and a variety of hands-on activities showcasing available engineering opportunities.

The company's College Day was created to encourage students to explore career options by learning about the many engineering and manufacturing career paths open to them. Organizers arranged hands-on activities to inspire and support students’ college and career goals. Students were able to gain further insight into the field by meeting and talking with engineering and manufacturing experts.
