Spectra-Physics has added the Talon 355-20 high-UV output power laser to its Talon family of Q-switched DPSS lasers.

Santa Clara, CA - Spectra-Physics, a Newport company, has added the Talon 355-20 high-ultraviolet (UV) output power laser to its Talon family of Q-switched diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers. The laser delivers >20W UV power and a wide-repetition-rate range of 0–500kHz. Applications for the laser include manufacturing mobile device components such as PCBs, semiconductors, electronic components, and displays.

The laser is available in >20, >15, >12 and >6W UV and >20W green versions. It features the company's It's in the Box design, which combines the power supply and laser head into one package for simple system integration and straightforward switching between models to achieve specific end customer requirements.
