October 14--The workshop "Integrating Spheres--A versatile solution in light measurements" is scheduled for November 2nd at the Photonics Cluster (UK), Aston Science Park in Birmingham, England. The workshop is intended for scientists and engineers working in the fields of light source measurements and testing the optical properties of materials. According to organizers, the event will also be of interest to those involved with calibrating remote sensing systems or evaluating the performance of electronic imaging equipment and detector arrays such as CCDs and CMOS sensors.
Subjects presented will include basics of light measurements (radiometry, photometry & colorimetry, and integrating sphere theory), diffuse reflectance materials & sphere coatings, sphere design considerations, sphere system configurations, integrating sphere applications, measuring light sources, calibrating remote sensing and electronic imaging equipment, and testing the optical of materials.
This event is sponsored by Pro-Lite Technology LLP, Labsphere Inc., and Photonics Cluster (UK). For more information, visit www.photonicscluster-uk.org.
