June 23--The Laser Institute of America (LIA) has announced the availability of the Advance Program for its 24th International Congress on Applications of Lasers & Electro-Optics (ICALEO). The Advance Program provides details for all the technical sessions, poster presentations, vendor exhibits, and short courses offered during ICALEO 2005, to be held October 31-November 3 in Miami, FL.
ICALEO 2005 General Chair Andreas Ostendorf of Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V., Hannover, Germany, said, "Don't miss this unique opportunity to improve your knowledge in the field of laser applications and make use of all the different networking opportunities ICALEO has provided for almost a quarter of a century. ICALEO 2005 will show, as we find ourselves on the threshold of numerous new applications, how many of the new laser systems can be used."
Returning ICALEO features include the Laser Microfabrication Conference, the Laser Materials Processing Conference, and the Laser Solutions Short Courses. These conferences and sessions provide information on laser applications in several professions, along with sessions on developng laser technologies for micro/nanofabrication, industrial photonics, materials processing, fiber lasers, hybrid laser welding, rapid prototyping, beam/process diagnostics, laser forming, and more.
