August 8--Janos Technology Inc. celebrated the grand opening of its new facility in Keene, NH, with Governor John Lynch officiating at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. More than 150 local and state dignitaries, media, and Janos employees attended the event on Thursday, July 28, 2005.
Welcoming speeches were presented by Governor Lynch, New Hampshire Senator Tom Eaton, and Keene Mayor Michael Blastos. Both U.S. Senators John Sununu and Judd Gregg sent their respects from Capitol Hill by messenger and letters of congratulations. Acting President of Janos Technology Bryan Torcivia and Janos Director of Operations Zsolt Pomazi were joined on the podium by the Monroe Group President Phil Haag and Monroe Group Director of Marketing Mark Lenhart.
Tours of the new 40,000-square-foot facility were offered to visitors throughout the day. The building has the capacity to expand an additional 17,000 square feet and was creatively designed utilizing the latest lean and flexible manufacturing principles with continuous improvement concepts. The new facility's Class 1000 cleanrooms with a Class 100 rating in the assembly areas, the new equipment, and Janos' state-of-the-art information system were of particular interest to the afternoon guests.
The newly designed plant will house the company's 80 employees with an additional 15 positions available.
