August 16--Allendale Township trustees granted Great Lakes Laser Dynamics tax abatements to help keep the firm competitive and enable the owners to invest more into the business

August 16--Bill Herberg and Ken Koster started their laser tube cutting and sheet metal fabrication firm five years ago. Laser Dynamics Inc. grew enough the company moved in April from a 12,000-square-foot building west of 48th Avenue north of Lake Michigan Drive to a 28,000-square-foot building across the street. To help keep the firm competitive and allow the owners to invest more into the business, Allendale Township trustees granted Great Lakes Laser Dynamics Inc., the parent company, tax abatements of $1.25 million for six years for the building and $2.5 million for 12 years on the equipment. Laser Dynamics is at 4881 Allenpark Drive.
