Duluth, MN—Laser Tape from Photobrasive Systems is a sandblastable laser mask designed to create stencils for the high-end corporate, promotional products, and giftware industries. Laser Tape allows the use of laser engraving machines in correlation with a sandblast machine to produce low-cost stencils. The tape conforms to surfaces without wrinkling, burns clean, and peels easily making for effortless removal. It does not produce PVC fumes, which can damage laser components and subject operators to harmful noxious fumes.

Users apply a Laser Tape sandblastable laser mask to the substrate with a squeegee to remove air bubbles and wrinkles. After removing a polyester carrier they laser mark through Laser Tape to create a sandblastable mask. Finally they sandblast the substrate to required depth and colorfill if desired.

Laser Tape is available in 4-mil thickness and can be purchased from Photobrasive Systems (www.photobrasive.com) in a variety of formats.
