Datalogic buys Laservall

Bologna, Italy-Datalogic SpA, Europe’s largest manufacturer of bar code readers and portable data collection terminals, has added to its substantial product line through the acquisition of Laservall SpA.

Laservall is a manufacturer and international supplier of diode and lamp pumped industrial lasers and systems used in marking, micro-welding, engraving, and soldering. The company serves the automotive, aerospace, medical device, electronics, and ID card industries.

In the U.S. these laser products are sold through Laservall North America LLC ([email protected]). Daniel Gold, president of the U.S. operation, says, “Our acquisition by Datalogic is a major boost. Our already strong presence in the Americas as provider of laser marking technology for traceability, security, and ID applications becomes even stronger with additional means to provide customers with comprehensive solutions.”
