Danbury, CT—Praxair Inc. has opened a metal fabricating laboratory in Tonawanda, NY, which will offer, among other capabilities, research and development in laser applications.

Danbury, CT—Praxair Inc. has opened a metal fabricating laboratory in Tonawanda, NY, which will offer, among other capabilities, research and development in laser applications. The company's welding and cutting technology specialists are available to work with metal fabricators to analyze and evaluate solutions for specific requirements.

According to Kevin Lyttle, Praxair's lab manager, "Our development work, product evaluations and training help our customers better understand their welding costs for improved productivity, better quality welds and lower costs."

Commenting on Praxair's team approach to customer service, Janet Coffman, Praxair Distribution's vice president of marketing, notes that this is an advantage exemplified by the user of the company's Laser Star resonator and assist gases.
