Biekert succeeds Peter Leibinger who will return to Germany to serve as President of TRUMPF Laser GmbH + Co. KG (Schramburg).
Biekert has been with TRUMPF for more than 17 years, holding an increasingly important series of position, including his most recent—vice president of operations for TRUMPF Inc.
At TRUMPF Laser, Leibinger will succeed Paul Seiler, who is retiring after an illustrious career in solid-state lasers. Leibinger will remain on the board of TRUMPF Group where he serves as executive vice president, and he will assume leadership of the company's laser technology business unit. He will continue responsibility for the company's North and South American business.
