Farmington, CT—Ford Motor Company has instituted a program to continuously enhance quality through improved part traceability and quality assurance. The company has chosen TRUMPF as the preferred suppler for the laser marking systems used in this program. TRUMPF's VectorMark line was selected for its skill and success with applications requiring a high level of product traceability.

For example, this marking system gives each part a unique number and automatically generates a complete part history file specific to that individual part.

The VectorMark allows for visual inspection data of the part, verification of barcodes and data matrices, confirmation of human readable text, the ability to mark the part accurately and repeatably and an actual photo of each individual part to be stored in the history file.

For more information on the VectorMark, access the TRUMPF Website, www.us.trumpf.com.
