East Granby, CT—Joining Technologies has been named as the primary North American distributor for the Trumpf PowerWeld, a laser workstation designed for the welding repair of molds and tools. This company was profiled in the October 2002 issue of ILS.

PowerWeld can be equipped with Trumpf pulsed Nd:YAG lasers ranging in average power up to 200W. The sit-down workstation is equipped with a motorized top for easy access. Up to 10 in. of X/Y motion is accomplished via a joystick, while a foot switch controls up to 11.8 in. of Z motion, dimensions well suited to mold and die repair.
