Harrisonville, MO—SEI S.p.a. (Curno, Italy), a manufacturer of laser marking and cutting systems, has established a direct presence in the United States through SEI USA, under the direction of Ray Dick. The company, founded in 1976, has grown to be a leading supplier of cutters and markers, with more than 2000 laser systems installed worldwide. Previously, SEI sold in North America through a distribution agreement with Preco Industries.

The company will continue to offer laser cutters in the power range 25 to 300 W, that feature optional galvo cutting heads, user-friendly software and material handling for applications in acrylic, die board, polyester overlays, wood, leather and textiles.

It also offers galvo-based marking systems, using CO2 lasers in the power range 10-300 W, in either two- or three-axis designs. Additionally a diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser marker is suitable for plastics and metals. This unit features different beam mode output for marking optimization.
