A new spectral shaping device touting higher precision than ever before could soon be taking us closer to finding Earth-like planets outside of our solar system.

Set to recognize the most innovative, transformative new photonics products, SPIE has announced the 2026 Prism Award finalists.

Control of nanophotonic devices could enable more than simply being a source of single photons, someday enabling larger quantum emitter systems on a single chip.
