    Dec. 20, 2024

Researchers in Germany are now designing the building blocks for a complete optoacoustic neural network, putting them on track toward a new type of computing architecture.

The global semiconductor laser market is expected to see significant growth over the next five years, according to market analysts, with telecommunications and infrastructure slated to take over the consumer sector.

SPIE is recognizing some amazing innovation, naming the latest recipients of two prestigious awards—the 2024 IBM-SPIE HBCU Faculty Accelerator Award in Quantum Optics and Photonics, and the 2025 SPIE-Franz Hillenkamp Postdoctoral Fellowship in Problem-Driven Biomedical Optics and Analytics.
