Radiant zinc fireworks reveal quality of human eggs for IVF

Using fluorescence microscopy, a team of researchers showed that when the human egg is activated by a sperm enzyme, an explosion of zinc sparks erupt. This is promising for selecting the best eggs for IVF implantation.
