Gerard Wysocki is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University. He received his PhD degree in physics in 2003 from Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. Wysocki conducts research focused on the development of mid-infrared laser spectroscopic instrumentation for applications in trace gas detection and chemical sensing. His current research interests include development and applications of new molecular dispersion spectroscopy techniques for in-situ and remote chemical detection, new concepts of tunable mid-infrared lasers, and distributed wide area spectroscopic sensor networks. He published over 50 peer-reviewed papers and co-authored over 130 presentations in the international conferences and meetings.
