John Haake is president and founder of Titanova, Inc., which is an ISO:9001:2008 certified contract manufacturing laser job shop specializing in diode laser cladding, heat treating, welding brazing, and system integration. He has been involved in the development of diode lasers and their applications for over 22 years. Prior to Titanova, Mr. Haake co-founded Nuvonyx, Inc, in 1998, which was the only North American industrial diode laser manufacturer. He was instrumental in developing and commercializing high power direct diode lasers and many novel processes based on diode lasers. Nuvonyx was acquired in 2007 by Coherent Inc. Before founding Nuvonyx, John was a principal engineer at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing developing methods for manufacturing carbon composite structures using diode lasers. Mr. Haake has a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Missouri S&T, has published many article on diode laser processes and system development and has 27 patents. Titanova, Inc is a member of AWS, ASME, ASM, CAMT, and NTMA.
