Elizabeth Vargis is an Assistant Professor of Biological Engineering at Utah State University. Her research interests include developing optical techniques to measure cellular interactions and changes that occur during disease and creating in vitro microenvironments and tissues that mimic those found in vivo. Dr. Vargis received a Bachelors in bioengineering from UC Berkeley, a Masters and PhD in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University and postdoctoral training at Oak Ridge National Lab.
