Dr. Simona Cinta Pinzaru is associate professor of Optical spectroscopy, Optoeletronics and Applied Spectroscopy at the Biomolecular Physics Department of Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She earned her doctoral degree in physics in 1998 at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, jointly coordinated at Bayerische-Julius Maximilians University, Würzburg, Germany. Her research interest and publications (ResearchID: A-4543-2011, orcid.org/0000-0001-8016-4408; https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Simona_Cinta_Pinzaru) cover physical chemistry, optical nanosensing, nano-bio interface, SERS spectroscopy, nanotechnology for medicine, applied Raman spectroscopy techniques in biomedical, pharmaceutical and environmental fields. As senior researcher in the framework of Marie Curie program of Ministry of Science, Education. and Sports Croatia, she recently carried out a research project (acronym JADRANSERS, meaning „Adriatic SERS”) assessing the translation of the linear Raman spectroscopy techniques for the aquaculture sector for the first time.
