The EVPLS electronically variable polarization-dependent-loss (PDL) source is designed for simulation of and compensation for fluctuating PDL in fiberoptic networks over a range of 0.05 to 0.50 dB.

The EVPLS electronically variable polarization-dependent-loss (PDL) source is designed for simulation of and compensation for fluctuating PDL in fiberoptic networks over a range of 0.05 to 0.50 dB. It can also be used for calibration of fiberoptic instruments. The driver can remotely control up to four devices, and the device comes with a choice of pigtail fiber and connector types.
