Code V Version 8.40 laser-beam-analysis software can directly analyze and optimize afocal systems without requiring the insertion of a perfect focusing lens in the system. The afocal mode automatically changes much of the program's output from spatial to angular units, facilitating the design of optical systems such as telescopes, microscopes, binoculars, and head-up displays.
