Leoni Fiber Optics acquires fiber-optic specialist RoMack

Through its U.S. subsidiary FiberTech USA (Chandler, AZ), Leoni Fiber Optics has acquired the technology company RoMack (Williamsburg, VA).

Neuhaus-Schierschnitz, Germany--Through its U.S. subsidiary FiberTech USA (Chandler, AZ), Leoni Fiber Optics has acquired the technology company RoMack (Williamsburg, VA). RoMack specializes in fiber-optic systems for aerospace, optical analysis, devices for medicine, and for industrial-laser systems.

With the acquisition of RoMack, Leoni set its strategy for strength in technologically sophisticated niche markets. Fiber Tech USA is a specialist in medical laser applications and RoMack is a specialist in fiber optics for research and industrial applications. The full spectrum of optical technologies by FiberTech RoMack Inc. will be offered to target markets in North and South America.

The registered office of the new entity, FiberTech RoMack, will be in Chandler, Arizona. The Virginia-based RoMack remains intact; its Williamsburg location, with its manufacturing, research, quality control, and customer-support capability, will be the operational base of the new entity. Matthew Webb, founder and president of RoMack, and Armin Kaus, president and CEO of FiberTech USA will act jointly as president and CEO of the new entity.
