A range of amplified spontaneous-emission light sources are designed for optical measuring and testing applications. They are based on erbium-doped fiber and cover wavelengths in the C-band (1525 to 1565 nm), C+L (to 1610 nm), and 1050 to 1070 nm. The broad spectrum width is aimed at DWDM, sensor systems, and component characterization.

PRESS RELEASE
-ASE Light Source-
The Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) Light Sources are ultra stable and high power broadband sources designed for optical measuring and testing applications. The series is based on the technology to utilize erbium-doped fiber to produce the amplified spontaneous emission. The ASE light source covers a broad range of wavelengths including the C-band, C+L-Band, and 1050nm. The broad spectrum width for the ASE light source is ideal for applications in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) systems, sensor systems and components characterization.
