Aicon acquires 3D metrology company Breuckmann
Braunschweig, Germany--Aicon 3D Systems has taken over 80% of Breuckmann GmbH (Meersburg, Germany), a 3D metrology company. Dr. Bernd Breuckmann, founder and former owner-manager, still holds 20% shares in the company, whose name will remain unchanged.
Founded in 1986, Breuckmann GmbH manufactures optical systems for contact-free 3D measurement, digitization, and inspection, and employs approximately 40 people. Aicon and Breuckmann have collaborated closely since 1995, and the merge enables the two companies to operate as a full-range supplier of 3D metrology systems.
