Violet laser diode module from Photonic Solutions

Sept. 15, 2003
Edinburgh, Scotland, September 12, 2003 Power Technology Inc (PTI) has introduced a new higher power violet instrument quality laser diode module, the IQ2, suitable for high end OEM instrumentation and analytical applications. The IQ2 emits 20mW output power at 405nm +/- 10nm, and has anamorphic correcting prisms to produce a circular, astigmatism free beam, rivaling that of large expensive gas lasers.

The IQ2 emits 20mW output power at 405nm +/- 10nm, and has anamorphic correcting prisms to produce a circular, astigmatism free beam, rivaling that of large expensive gas lasers.

The module has a precision current source and a PID temperature controller for analytical applications that require high stability of both wavelength and output power. The module, which can operate in CW mode, or with analog or TTL modulation measures 1.5" in diameter and 7.5" long. Features include an adjustable focus and quality glass optics to achieve optical superiority and optional beam expanding optics.

Applications of the violet laser diode module include laser induced fluorescence, spectroscopy, interferometry, high-resolution printing, microscopy and biomedical analysis.

Photonic Solutions are the distributors in the UK for the Power Technology range of products. As well as Power Technology, Photonic Solutions are the distributor for a variety of other companies offering a range of lasers and laser systems, detectors and spectroscopy equipment.
