CVI Melles Griot's Lynore Abbott to lead enhanced effort in China

Sept. 2, 2010
Albuquerque, NM--CVI Melles Griot announced that Lynore Abbott will support the company's efforts in the Greater China Region as managing director, greater China.

Albuquerque, NM--CVI Melles Griot, a supplier of optics and photonic products, announced that Lynore Abbott will support the company's efforts in the Greater China Region by managing its Singapore facility and facilitating the execution of its Greater China market development plan.

Abbott has demonstrated strong leadership skills in re-branding the company (following the acquisition of Melles Griot by CVI Laser in 2007), reconciling product lines and catalog offerings, and optimizing the marketing communications department, says CVI Melles Griot CEO, Stuart Schoenmann. She has been successful in incorporating our European staff into our product management and marketing communications strategies, essentially creating virtual teams over several time-zones and cultures. She has led the effort to consolidate the catalog product offering (which comprise over 400,000 products), consolidated several e-commerce websites, and built brand awareness for a company which currently comprises eight manufacturing sites in five countries.

Abbott will take on the position of managing director, greater China while continuing her responsibilities as director of marketing in the Optics and Photonics Products Group.
