Gentec-EO hires laser-beam measurement veteran Burt Mooney

Quebec City, QC, Canada--Gentec-EO USA hired laser-beam measurement veteran Burt Mooney to join its sales force as sales development manager for the USA.

Quebec City, QC, Canada--A wholly owned subsidiary of Gentec Electro-Optics, Inc. (Quebec City, QC, Canada), Gentec-EO USA, Inc.(Lake Oswego, OR) hired laser-beam measurement veteran Burt Mooney to joinits sales force as sales development manager for the USA. Mooney has been extremely active in the field of laser test & measurement over the past 25 years. He started working for Molectron Detectorin 1986, and remained active as sales manager until the company was acquired by Coherent in 2002. Since then, and until September this year, he was the power/energy meter specialist for the USA for Ophir Optronics.

Gentec Electro-Optics has 40 years of experience in the laser measurement field. In 2000, Gentec Electro-Optics, Inc. was formed from Gentec, Inc. so that the focus was entirely on laser measurement. The company now manufactures a complete range of laser power and energy meters, beam diagnostics and diffractive optics. Since the acquisition of Spectrum Detector in June 2010, they have added many products to the range, including high-speed 130 kHz joulemeters and terazherts sensors and instruments. Gentec Electro-Optics also supplies large-aperture calorimeters to measure the highest pulse energies. Their products are sold around the world, with distributors and representatives in more than 35 countries.
