Costa Mesa, CA--Irvine Sensors Corp. received a new purchase order valued at approximately $3.4 million for the company's thermal imaging cores. Pending receipt of final specifications, the customer has requested delivery of all units under the new order within the next 120 days.

This order marks the first material release for the company's thermal imaging products that reflects new government fiscal 2011 funding, says Bill Joll, Irvine Sensors' CEO, noting that it is encouraging to see the procurement log jam built up during this year's Federal budget debate finally starting to break.
