Waterloo, Ont., November 6, 2002 -- DALSA has announced the release of its CL-T7 color CCD linescan camera. Featuring DALSA's tri-TDI (Time Delay and Integration) sensor technology, the CL-T7 offers high responsivity and a high signal-to-noise ratio.

Tri-TDI technology combines multiple exposures, providing up to 24 red, 24 green and 48 blue stages of integration, dramatically increasing sensitivity and lowering lighting costs. Capable of at least 20 times greater responsivity in the red and green channels and 40x in the blue channel than other models, tri-TDI technology is of particular benefit to light-starved color applications.

The CL-T7 operates at 25MHz per color with 2048 pixels for each color exceeding line rates of 10KHz. The camera supplies 8 LVDS (RS-644) bits for each color of red, green and blue and is suitable for 100% print inspection. Its 2K resolution meets the requirements for narrow web print inspection and 2 cameras side by side can accommodate larger web applications. The CL-T7 is also suitable for wafer inspection, LCD panel inspection, high-end document scanning and film scanning.

"By leveraging the responsivity of TDI and combining it with color, the CL-T7 stands alone in its class," commented Mark Butler, Product Manager. "It's a first-rate, high-performance color camera offered at a competitive price."

The CL-T7 is available now with standard manufacturing lead times. For more information on DALSA's CL-T7, visit vfm.dalsa.com .
