EG&G sells cooledCCD product line to Princeton Instruments

EG&G Inc. (Wellesley, MA) has sold its entire opticalmultichannelanalyzer (OMA) business to Princeton Instruments (PI, Trenton, NJ) for an undisclosed amount. In addition to hiring the hardware, software, and service engineers who were employed by EG&G, PI has already reached agreements with EG&G global sales representatives. EG&G will continue to buy and integrate OMAs with larger systems, according to EG&G vice president Angelo Castellana.
