    EG&G Inc. (Wellesley, MA) has sold its entire opticalmultichannelanalyzer (OMA) business to Princeton Instruments (PI, Trenton, NJ) for an undisclosed amount. The OMA product line consists of cooledCCD and diodearray detectors for spectroscopy and lowlightlevel digital imaging. In addition to hiring the hardware, software, and service engineers who were employed by EG&G, PI has already reached agreements with EG&G global sales representatives. EG&G will continue to buy and integrate OMAs with larger systems, according to EG&G vice president Angelo Castellana.
