    The Gemini FTIR accessory for FTIR spectrometers combines horizontal attenuated total reflectance (HATR) and diffuse reflectance sampling technologies. The device consists of a cast-aluminum optical base with two sampling heads and sits in the FTIR sample compartment with the cover open. The accessory is mounted on the baseplate, and no realignment is needed when switching from one sampling head to another.
